The first pic is a shot of John Huston's father,Walter Huston in the movie,and Anjelica Huston , his daughter played Maerose Prizzi in the movie Prizzi's honour.They both won academy awards for their perfomances.John huston won the academy award for best director for the movie Moulin Rouge.Thus they became the first family to have three generations of Academy Award winners.John Huston has the unique distinction of directing both his father and daughter in Oscar-winning performances.

1) Ravi Batra of Southern Methodist University, shrewd economist and best-selling author of The Great Depression of 1990 and Surviving the Great Depression of 1990, was awarded the IgNobel for Economics in 1993 for selling enough copies of his books to single-handedly prevent worldwide economic collapse.
2)WATER MEMORY : Jacques Benveniste, prolific proselytizer and dedicated correspondent of Nature, was awarded the IgNobel for Chemistry in 1991 for his persistent discovery that water, H2O, is an intelligent liquid, and for demonstrating to his satisfaction that water is able to remember events long after all traces of those events have vanished. This 'WATER MEMORY' was the explanation he proposed for homeopathy.
3) Lal Bihari, of Uttar Pradesh, India, was awarded the IgNobel for Peace in 2003 for a triple accomplishment: First, for leading an active life even though he has been declared legally dead; second, for waging a lively posthumous campaign against bureaucratic inertia and greedy relatives; and third, for creating the Association of Dead People. Lal Bihari overcame the handicap of being dead, and managed to obtain a passport from the Indian government so that he could travel to Harvard to accept his Prize. However, the U.S. government refused to allow him into the country. His friend Madhu Kapoor therefore came to the Ig Nobel Ceremony and accepted the Prize on behalf of Lal Bihari. Several weeks later, the Prize was presented to Lal Bihari himself in a special ceremony in India.

The funda is that there was a rule change in 1970 which caused the book to be disqualified from competing for the Booker in that year. Books published in 1970 were not eligible for the Man Booker Prize due to a rules alteration: until 1970 the prize was awarded to books published in the previous year, while from 1971 onwards it was awarded to books published the same year as the award. Unlucky man!!
